Moroccan Madness | The Caliph’s House: A Year in Casablanca

I’ve always liked the kind of books where authors tell their experiences in a foreign country, so when my mum told me about this book, I was sure that this was going to be my cup of tea.

The author, Tahir Shah, shares his ironic but also very kind-hearted story of him and his family moving to Casablanca. Whilst trying to settle into a new home, he also has to deal with eccentric local customs and superstitions that sometimes leave you half amused and half bewildered.

So if you like these kind of travel-memoir books, look no further!
