Another “selfie” photo from the dining room/office, what can I say.

I’ll keep this brief: this dismal mood of mine hasn’t lifted much since I last blogged about feeling like throwing my laptop off the roof of my house. But there have been some good moments peppered in between the foulness that is my general mood, and so I’m hanging on to those rare, but significant tidbits to help pull me out of this funk.

So here I go – my attempt at keeping things light – a short story:

My friend, C, is a high school teacher. Last month, she was teaching her students creative writing, using examples of writers who use real life to inspire their work. Writers who use “every day life” she called it.
